share your story
What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.
hi friend
We want to hear what God has done and continues to do in your life.
How It Works
FAQs
-
No worries at all! We have a team of professional writers and editors who can help your story come to life. God calls all of us to witness and share our testimonies, regardless of talent or ability.

Mainly, we want everything on Garden Theology to reflect the heart of Christ. That means stories that encourage and edify one another are our top priority. Not everything in life is easy—and we don’t always get a happy ending here on this earth. We’re not looking for empty positivity. We want to hear about how God has redeemed you from a life of sin and shame and brought you into His kingdom. And in keeping with our passion for the garden, if you include some natural metaphors, we love that as well!

That depends on the bandwidth of our team and the approval process. You’ll be notified of our story status as it changes from “received” to “in review” to “approvals.” Depending on how available you are for the editing process, submissions can take anywhere from weeks to months after being selected. We try our best to be timely and update writers on the process. We may pass on your story for this season if you are unavailable to meet for editing. It’s important to us that every word on the site is aligned with God’s heart and vision (and is also grammatically correct!).

Yes! We require all testimonies featured on our site have a name, a title, an author bio, and a picture. Why? Because we’re not ashamed of the Good News of Jesus! We want other people like you to feel edified and encouraged through your testimony. If you are uncomfortable sharing your first name and photo, please do not submit at this time.
-
Because of the number of submissions we receive, we can’t publish every story we are sent. However, that doesn’t mean your story isn’t amazing or incredible! It just means that we might be at our submission limit for the quarter. We know it takes a lot of courage to share your story, and we don’t take that lightly. It’s our heart to respond to every query with love, compassion, and truth.
“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord,
nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

“For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us,
not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
— TITUS 3:3-7 (ESV)
