Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the One promised to come and take away the sins of the world. As both God and man, Jesus is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. To receive forgiveness and everlasting life, we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
Jesus has many names, but only one name matters. Do you call Him your Lord and Savior?

Jesus: From Genesis to Revelations
Jesus, the Savior who would take away the sins of the world, was with God, a part of the Holy Trinity, from the very beginning in Genesis (John 1:1-5). From the Fall of Man, God had a plan for a Messiah to come and redeem His people from their sins, to bridge the chasm between life and death. Jesus is throughout the entire Bible, not just the New Testament.
OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECIES
The Old Testament is filled with prophecies about the coming of Christ to redeem Israel and the world. Jesus fulfilled over 300 of them during His time on Earth. From his birth, life, and death, prophets had spoken into all areas of the Messiah’s life before His coming.
Over 700 years before Christ was born, Isaiah wrote “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14). We learn in the Gospels that Jesus was conceived by the Spirit of God and born to the virgin Mary and named as such (Matthew 1:18).
About Jesus’ death, Isaiah writes, “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth” (Isaiah 53:7). This is confirmed later in the Gospels as Jesus is crucified (Matthew 27).
JESUS AT THE CENTER OF IT ALL
Jesus was fully human and fully God. On earth, He lived a sinless life, which meant He was qualified to take away the sins of the world. He’s the only one worthy to open the scrolls (Revelations 5). He’s coming back for us, as stated in the book of Revelations. Are you ready?
